Hal ini disebabkan oleh temuan-temuannya yang dilandasi dengan prinsip dan teori yang dikembangkan oleh pakar kimia. Kemudian, dikaji melalui percobaan dengan menggunakan <a href=\"\/blog\/konsep-metode-ilmiah-pengertian-dan-langkah-langkah\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">metode ilmiah<\/a>. <em>Nah<\/em>, beberapa pakar kimia yang dianggap sebagai pencetus kimia modern adalah <\/span><strong>Joseph Priestley<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1733-1804), <\/span><strong>Antoine Lavoisier<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1743-1794), dan <\/span><strong>John Dalton<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1766-1844).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Priestley merupakan orang yang pertama kali melakukan percobaan pembakaran materi yang dikaji secara ilmiah. Hasil dari pengukurannya, jika suatu materi dibakar akan mengalami <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">kehilangan zat berflogiston<\/span>. Hal tersebut dilihat dari perbedaan massa sebelum dan sesudah pembakaran. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penemuan pengukuran ini pun kemudian dikenal dengan <strong>teori flogiston<\/strong>. Akan tetapi, terdapat kelemahan dari percobaan Priestley, yaitu pembakaran dilakukan dalam <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">wajan yang terbuka<\/span>, sehingga memungkinkan terjadinya pertukaran materi dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Hingga kini, teorinya kerap menjadi rujukan bagi teori ilmu kimia modern. Sementara itu,&nbsp;<span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">ilmu kimia terus berusaha untuk mengembangkan berbagai bahan dan proses (pembakaran) dengan meminimalisir pencemaran terhadap lingkungan, baik di perairan, udara, dan tanah. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut, tentu perlu pemahaman konsep-konsep kimia yang valid dan mutakhir. Misalnya pada mikroskop elektron<span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">. CNTs juga memiliki fleksibilitas dan kekuatan yang sangat luar biasa bahkan melebihi baja.
