Supaya lebih hemat air? RG Squad perlu mengetahui penyebab air tidak pernah terisi penuh dalam kaleng! Hal ini disebabkan adanya pemuaian volume atau pertambahan ukuran. <em>Wah<\/em>, apa itu?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pertambahan ukuran dapat berupa pertambahan panjang, luas, dan juga volume. Pertambahan ukuran bisa terjadi saat suatu benda dipanaskan. Mengapa bisa bertambah ukurannya? Pada benda padat, molekul bisa bergetar. Ketika benda padat dipanaskan, getaran molekul akan semakin cepat. Molekul-molekul tersebut bergerak sedikit demi sedikit menjauh satu sama lain. Dari luar, benda tersebut akan terlihat seperti bertambah ukurannya karena molekul-molekul yang semakin menjauh tadi. Hal inilah yang disebut sebagai pemuaian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">RG Squad<em>, <\/em>perhatikan ilustrasi di atas. Pada zat cair, jarak antar molekul lebih renggang dari molekul zat padat. Namun, molekul akan bergerak lebih cepat dan menjauh satu sama lain jika dipanaskan. Maka, zat cair pun juga memuai ketika dipanaskan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Nah, <\/em>pemuaian yang terjadi pada kasus tersebut adalah pemuaian volume. Pemuaian volume tersebut bisa kita hitung, <em>loh. <\/em>dengan rumus berikut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-web.ruangguru.com\/landing-pages\/assets\/hs\/Rumus-10.jpg\" alt=\"rumus pemuaian volume\" style=\"width: 600px;\" title=\"pemuaian volume\" caption=\"false\" data-constrained=\"true\" width=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Salah satu contoh pemuaian terjadi pada pengemasan minuman kaleng. Pada minuman kaleng, minuman tidak pernah diisi sampai penuh. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memberikan ruang pada minuman jika memuai saat terkena panas. Biasanya, koefisien muai minuman lebih tinggi dari koefisien muai kaleng. Simak contoh di bawah ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Sebuah kaleng dengan volume 330 ml berisi minuman yang diisi penuh. Saat dibawa bepergian, minuman kaleng mengalami perubahan suhu dari 20\u00baC hingga 40<sup>o<\/sup>C. Jika kaleng terbuat dari aluminium dengan koefisien muai volume 7,5 x 10<sup>-5<\/sup>\/<sup>o<\/sup>C dan air minuman memilikii koefisien muai volume air 4,4 x 10<sup>-4<\/sup>\/ oC, apakah kaleng mampu menampung pemuaian air?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><strong>Pembahasan :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\">Volume awal kaleng adalah 330 ml. Maka, volume kaleng ketika memuai adalah :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t kaleng&nbsp;<\/sub>= V<sub>0<\/sub> (1 + \u03b3.\u2206T)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t kaleng&nbsp;<\/sub>= 330 (1 + 7,5.10<sup>-5&nbsp;<\/sup>. (40-20))<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t kaleng<\/sub> = 330 (1 + 0,0015)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t kaleng&nbsp;<\/sub>= 330 (1,0015) = 330,495 ml<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\">Volume awal air sama dengan kaleng, yaitu 330 ml. Maka, volume air ketika memuai adalah :<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t air&nbsp;<\/sub>= V<sub>0<\/sub> (1 + \u03b3.\u2206T)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t air&nbsp;<\/sub>= 330 (1 + 4,4.10<sup>-4&nbsp;<\/sup>. (40-20))<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t air&nbsp;<\/sub>= 330 (1+0,0088)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1em;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">V<sub>t air&nbsp;<\/sub>= 330 (1,0088) = 332,904 ml<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kita bisa melihat perbedaan volume akhir air yang lebih besar daripada volume akhir kaleng, yaitu sekitar 2,5 ml.
