Bagaimana proses terjadinya pasang surut air laut? <em>Yuk, <\/em>kita bahas bersama. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Air laut adalah zat cair yang mudah berubah bentuk ketika dikenai gaya. Bentuk permukaan laut bisa berbeda akibat dikenai gaya gravitasi bulan ditempat yang berbeda pada laut yang berbeda. Hal ini mengakibatkan adanya permuakaan laut yang naik (pasang) dan adanya permukaan laut yang turun (surut). Karena bumi berotasi, maka dalam satu hari suatu tempat mengalami dua kali pasang dan dua kali surut.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Pasang surut air laut dapat dipengaruhi oleh gravitasi bulan atau gravitasi matahari<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Akan tetapi gravitasi bulan memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar daripada gravitasi matahari karena jarak bulan lebih dekat ke bumi. Kondisi air laut pasang terjadi dua kali yaitu saat bulan purnama dan bulan baru. Pada belahan bumi yang mengalami bulan purnama, jarak air laut dengan pusat bulan lebih dekat daripada jarak pusat bumi dengan pusat bulan. Hal yang sama terjadi pada belahan bumi yang mengalami bulan baru, jarak air laut dengan pusat bulan lebih jauh daripada jarak pusat bumi dengan pusat bulan. Ini mengakibatkan gaya gravitasi bulan lebih kuat daripada bumi untuk menarik air laut. Kondisi ini terjadi pada belahan bumi yang tidak mengalami bulan purnama maupun bulan baru atau disebut pasang perbani. Peningkatan ketinggian air laut di bagian yang mengalami bulan purnama maupun bulan baru tentunya mengambil jatah air dari belahan bumi lainnya. Hal ini menyebabkan belahan bumi lainnya mengalami permukaan laut yang surut.
