Maka, kamu bisa menyebutnya dengan atom.&nbsp;<em>Wah<\/em>, apa itu? Pengertian atom ialah partikel terkecil dari suatu materi hidup\/tidak hidup. Contoh materi dalam kasus ini yaitu pensil, yang mempunyai ruang dan massa. Intinya, semua materi pasti tersusun atas kumpulan atom. <em>Nah<\/em>, untuk penjelasan lebih lanjut mengenai atom dan notasi atom (lambang), simak artikel berikut ya!&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Atom dicetuskan pertama kali oleh seorang filsuf Yunani bernama Democritus<\/strong> bersama gurunya Leucippus pada tahun 400-an SM. Menurutnya atom berasal dari dua kata a berarti tidak dan tomos artinya tidak dapat dibagi lagi. Bentuknya dapat diibaratkan seperti sebuah bola dan terdiri dari 2 bagian yaitu:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Inti atom\/nukleus<\/strong> terdiri atas&nbsp;<span>partikel bermuatan positif (<\/span>proton) dan&nbsp;<span>partikel tidak bermuatan (<\/span>neutron).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kulit atom<\/strong> diisi oleh partikel negatif (elektron).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kalau kamu bingung membayangkan komponen-komponennya, coba bayangkan tata surya yang berpusat pada matahari. Jadi, matahari inilah inti atom yang di dalamnya ada proton dan neutron. Saat netral (tidak bermuatan) akan sama dengan jumlah elektron.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>b: Nomor massa<\/strong> melambangkan jumlah proton ditambah jumlah neutron atau disebut juga jumlah nukleon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>c: Muatan\/bilangan oksidasi (biloks)<\/strong> terdiri dari melepas elektron (positif) dan menangkap elektron atau bertambah (negatif).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-web.ruangguru.com\/landing-pages\/assets\/hs\/Screen%20Shot%202018-04-12%20at%2014.44.49.png\" alt=\"notasi atom\" width=\"82\" height=\"70\" style=\"width: 82px; display: block; margin: 0px auto;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Keterangan:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">proton = 11<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">elektron = 11 (karena sama dengan proton yang netral\/tidak bermuatan)<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">massa = 23<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">neutron = massa &#8211; proton<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">= 12<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.75; text-align: justify;\">Pembahasan di atas merupakan contoh proton netral. Bagaimana jika <strong><a href=\"\/apa-yang-dimaksud-dengan-ikatan-ion\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bermuatan atau yang disebut dengan ion<\/a><\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Kita coba dengan ion positif ya! Karena walau mereka berbeda-beda, ada kemungkinan atom penyusunnya sama. Berikut kesamaan partikel subatomik, kamu juga bisa corat-coret di kertas ya untuk membuktikannya:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"line-height: 1.75; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Isotop<\/strong>: nomor atomnya sama (proton) dan nomor massanya berbeda (neutron). Mudahnya, angka di bagian bawah sama sedangkan angka di bagian atas berbeda.
